our daily brood

Shamus on view

Me-usings and Me-emories

4 August 2020 - The law is beyond my expertise, but in the 21st century aren't I a tad young to be employed?  I am certain that the answer to that depends upon many factors:  what country are we talking about?  is the laborer being paid untraceable cash?  is said worker one of the business family?  I am not really complaining, especially since my desk job is mostly managerial, with flex-time.  And there really is no reason for me to clock in unless one of my employee/peeps is slogging away... which frees up quite a few hours in my day.  Honest work is supposedly gratifying, but in the case of cats our self-worth doesn't require propping up.

A job can be humbling,
which might explain the
popularity of weekends.
