Shamus on view

 Me-usings and Me-emories

19 August 2020 - I do wonder what goes on in the heads of my peeps.  They can sit for the longest time, staring at inert objects... making me wonder if they really are just slow in their mental processes, or overly optimistic that this dead thing will spring back to life.  Clearly their vocal cords are inferior:  silence is punctuated by singsong gibberish, with pitch and volume varying throughout.  Occasionally it sounds, to my ears, as if they are trying to speak my language.  I listen attentively, but there is no coherent meaning.  And without a tail to signal their emotional state, they clearly are frustrated communicators.  For all these reasons, I try to be sympathetic... while keeping my eye on them.
