Me-usings and Me-emories

19 January 2015 - Which came first?  the need to tongue-wash one's lower back, or the ability to do so.  I don't know if "contortionist" is apt, but we cats definitely have supple spines... perhaps since our four-footedness doesn't give gravity the opportunity to fuse the vertebrae together.  A column of sedimentary rock, hardened over time by the weight above pressing down, is not what one wants for a spine.  Most of the time we felines think nothing of being able to form a corkscrew with our bodies, and focus instead on what we can't do...like use a can-opener.  That would be something to remark upon.
