Me-usings and Me-emories
18 May 2016 - I can not recommend sleep enough. The nap-deprived are easy to spot: slow-witted, puffy-eyed, cranky. Yet this suspension of consciousness is not well understood. How exactly do we enter this relaxed and inactive state? One sure way to remain awake is to worry about this question's answer. One has to allow weariness to quiet the brain as well as the body. I suppose that is why some count sheep or breaths: it keeps the gray matter busy with a dulling task. We cats obviously excel at this necessary pastime. Kick off your shoes, and join us.
