so blow ye winds, heigh-ho

Me-ow-my-oh!

Me-usings and Me-emories

1 September 2016 - The National Hurricane Center is aflutter with storm tracking...  it is that time of year.  Even Nova Scotia has been battered by tropical low-pressure systems that spun up the East Coast into cold-water annihilation.  The problem is that Arctic temperatures aren't what they were a century ago, so there is reason to expect more hurricanes to persist in the North Atlantic.  But that isn't the cause of today's cloudiness:  just a front pushing through our area, dragging along air chilled over the Hudson Bay.  On days without sunshine, I am delighted to have indoor space available to me.  Curled in a chair, protected from gales and rain, I am envied by my kind huddled beneath a dripping bush.
