8 October 2016 - I told you so!  I am definitely not a clueless Chicken Little.  Having no desire to evacuate to a shelter cot, I found a sturdy, dark corner and hunkered down until the blow had past.  Every bump on the roof ratcheted up my anxiety level, so there was little sound sleep to be had.  The taller peep's slumber was likewise disturbed... which is a good measure of how strong the storm was in this area.  Then, in a remarkably short time, the sun was out and the air steamed.  While checking out the damage, rather than being greeted by the neighborhood clean-up crew, I got my first glimpse, since May, of that scroungy interloper... harumph!
