5 February 2018 - Sometimes observation from a window ledge or screened porch is insufficient... and I lion-pride myself on a job well done.  So I do the walk.  Most outings are quite pleasant:  sunshine, fresh air, nuanced smells. There occasionally is a day when I long for another occupation, one that would keep my paws dry and my coat unruffled.  But then I have to be honest with myself:  I would not be happy with a job that ties me to the desktop.  So, like life, all work has pluses and minuses... just keep the tally out of the red and you'll be in a sustainable place.
