5 June 2018 - Lest you get the wrong impression, this photograph is forty-eight hours old, i.e., before the nastiness set in.  In protest of this December weather, I am boycotting the porch ledge until things greatly improve.  At the moment all three of us are huddled in the office.  Don't ask me why we aren't in the den where there is a fire burning in the wood stove.  Actually I know the reason (the office claims the computers), but it still is an unsatisfactory answer.  And I realize that I could show some smarts, and take up residence in the only warm room... but solidarity is evidently important.
