5 February 2019 - I am one of the reasons the taller peep can sleep so soundly in the morning:  with me on patrol he has no worries.  My ears alert me to crunching leaves, snapping twigs, slurping water... and I go into action.  Most of the time nothing more than a glare, delivered from the alee side of the window pane, is warranted.  Occasionally I must dash out the door and send the intruder scurrying from the premises.  Today was one of the typical sort:  a squeep checking out the beep feeder.  After breakfast I will have a word....
