Shamus on view

Me-usings and Me-emories

3 May 2021 - Although I am delighted with our recent weather - hot and dry - the shorter peep is doing what she calls her rain dance.  My two are always entertaining, but I intend to sit this one out.  Firstly, the wet stuff interferes with my time on the screened porch; secondly, we cats don't dance.  Leap, gallop, prance, cavort, gambol, romp, boogie, frisk, and frolic we will maybe own up to... but not dancing.  My feet, all four of them, are quite coordinated, never tripping up its mate or squashing the toes of another, but the box step just seems silly... as if one can't make up his mind which direction to go.  In my line of business such shilly-shally behavior won't garner glowing recommendations.

Catty Corner

word of the day - meowjestic, impurrial and lofty (hence our preference for the higher perch)
