1 Feb 2022 - The stuff of nightmares is the unseen assailant who grabs his victim, before a protest can be uttered.  In stories and shows we usually sympathize with the one caught in the snare, while still admitting how clueless the fella was to be walking alone, down a dark alley, wearing earbuds and a red shirt.  Should a happy outcome be expected for the denizens of la-la-land?  And to further wade into ethical murkiness, wouldn't it be fun (withhold your prejudgment) to be the one who removes the dodos from the line-up?  We cats gaze down the long, long line of contestants, and purr "yes".
