13 Feb 2025 - Even these cat eyes notice that our surrounding flora are brightening with color.  I appreciate that my view from the various ledges, regardless of the time of year, always includes numerous shades of green... an encouraging sign that life is persisting despite Mr. Sol's weakened state.  And an uptick in activity tells me that the interlopers have noticed the shift:  I wonder, can summer be far off?  There is still more dark hours than not, but the difference is shrinking slowly:  I prefer eating my breakfast in natural light.
