11 Mar 2025 - Some surprises have staying power; others are quickly forgotten.  This addition to the domicile decor has persisted, and having already vetted it, I can now take advantage of its spacious ledge.  In a space that is heavily used by my peeps after the disappearance of Mr. Sol, it allows me to sit nearby without sharing time with the large black box or whatever is holding their attention.  The spot also appeals because of its elevation over the floors below:  I can survey my kingdom.
