7 Jul 2025 - The taller peep thinks that the blackness of the deck portal is what I find offensive. I am still unable to see it objectively, so any response I might have to his statement stems from my visceral dislike for its alienness, for its intrusion into my comfortable space. The fear I initially felt is slowly abating, although I still flinch when it pinches my tail. And I do realize that "pinch" isn't a near-death experience and might, at some point in the future, become negligible... a pat on the back for safe passage.
