2 Jul 2025 - My job isn't a nine-to-fiver.  It is true that a good bit of the interloper activity falls between the rising and setting of Mr. Sol... but not all of it.  So I periodically conduct night patrols.  Last night I heard something stirring outside our walls, and was compelled (by curiosity and by work responsibilities) to check it out.  I was alarmed to discern a peep silhouette... then, a fraction of a second later, the shape and movement became familiar... it was the shorter peep (red alert cancelled).
