ready, set, go

Shamus on view

Me-usings and Me-emories

28 Oct 2026 - There is enough information in this photo to convey my state of  high alert:  neck lengthened, ears sharply erect.  And underneath my black-and-white coat are muscles tensed for action.  The follow-up is that intervention was not required of me:  conditions were not dangerous, interlopers were not scaling the exterior.  But adrenaline doesn't just suddenly disappear, and long after the picture was taken, I was still trying to calm my fight-or-flight brain.

  1. Hey, if you don’t practice being alert, how are you expected to deal with the real thing? Stay occasionally alert my friend
