death-deferring feat

Me-ow-my-oh!

Me-usings and Me-emories

8 June 2015 - An easy beginning doesn't guarantee that the conclusion will be a piece of cake.  Ascending this tree was not sufficiently scrutinized, I will admit (see 7 June 2015 entry), but the descent was definitely more of a challenge, having to take into consideration Sir Isaac's gravity.  Lest your heart contract with the thought, I successfully maneuvered myself back to earth without a hard landing.  The tree burl in the bottom lefthand corner was my spring pad to the branch pictured.  Nailing that spot with a downward leap seemed more daunting...so as gracefully as possible,  I shimmied down the trunk instead.  The shorter peep wasn't around for my descent, leaving the scene with "tell me when it's over".  Clearly she is not made of the right stuff.

Catty Corner

phrase of the day - scaredy cat, a misnomer perpetuated by peeps who mistake a feline's caution for fear
