2 June 2015 - Today was so wretched, even the ducks canceled an appearance.  When presented with circumstances that can't be changed, one has no choice but to make the best it...so I have limited my time outside the house to the absolute minimum.  Otherwise I could be found curled up, conserving body heat while seeking external sources:  the wood stove, a running appliance, an incandescent light bulb, an empty lap.  The peeps were very receptive to the latter idea:  evidently they are as cold as I am, and misery loves company.  I am hedging despair by choosing to think that tomorrow will be an improvement, although I don't dare say that things couldn't get worse.
