1 February 2016 - My ancestors were wild, and my early childhood was a hard-scrabble existence, but I am thoroughly domesticated now.  "Live free or die" is not an enticement:  a cat's life expectancy is significantly shortened if it is feral or stray.  Out of habit and curiosity, I still take my daily constitution, weather permitting.  But I don't wander far and definitely stick to places that don't require machete--hacking.  It is my intention to attain a ripe old age.  How would my peeps get along without me?
