5 July 2018 - "Cherchez le chat"... that is what pops into the minds of my peeps whenever a shelved object lands on the floor, whenever an unsightly mess materializes on the carpet, whenever a strange noise wakens them in the night. Just because they can't envision either of them to be the cause (a failure of imagination, I say), naturally points the finger of blame in my direction. Explanation is not my forte, so I have learned to keep my head down and my thoughts to myself when a fall guy is required. Being a goodly distance from the crime scene also helps.
