14 January 2019 - I do some of my best thinking lying down.  Consider these observations:  1) blood isn't fighting gravity to reach the brain, and 2) concentration isn't being wasted on such things as balance and navigation.  Being 100% on task, in my opinion, requires the prone position... prostrate or supine, your choice.  I have successfully used both orientations, mostly dependent upon the ambient temperature.  In fact one could peg the mercury level by observing how much of my belly is exposed.
