fired up (or just fired)

Shamus on view

Me-usings and Me-emories

2 November 2020 - Another work week begins!  I like to arrive early to the office, just to keep the staff on their toes... and then feel absolutely justified in leaving early.  I am aware that employees in general would prefer an absent boss, and especially loathe one that hovers behind their shoulders.  My time is overbooked with responsibilities, so I have no intention of micro-managing.  Besides I trust my peeps to stay on task, and they are the focused sort who won't drive off in the weeds (and if they do, know how to get themselves back on the asphalt without calling for roadside assistance).  It would be exhausting to have the role of sweeper in the sport of curling:  clearing the path for forward progress, being critical to the mission statement, yet having to maintain the facade of secondary importance.
