4 Mar 2022 - The hardest part of a sentry's job is to remain alert during lulls.  To be continually assaulted would be hard physically and mentally, but when the opposition seems to be taking a siesta it is very difficult not to take a nap yourself.  And of course the savvy enemy knows this very thing and will use the drop in surveillance to advance his cause.  So here I sit, drowsing in the warm sunlight, willing myself to keep at least one eye open and half the neurons firing.  I really need an interloper (very small and non-threatening) to stroll by, just to jolt my system with adrenalin.
