Me-usings and Me-emories
15 Aug 2022 - One positive aspect of blunt-edged reality is the checking of ego: after yesterday's dose of cuteness, I could use a reminder of the facts. I am a working cat, not one that warrants room and board by impeccable pedigree or haughty looks. So here I am, back on the job, scanning for interlopers. And as much as I enjoy occasional indolence, the energy of my youth requires a purposeful outlet, along with a pinch of derring-do. To know that I'm capable of protecting our domicile lifts me to the backs of furniture (since actual levitation would startle my peeps and attract unwanted attention).
