Me-usings and Me-emories
10 Jan 2023 - As a strictly indoor cat, I appreciate the expansiveness of our domicile. However, as the keeper of the premises, I have a big job. Not all of the spaces need daily surveillance, largely protected by their isolation. But nonetheless I must periodically check these out-of-the-way places, for the sake of thoroughness, a constant cat niggler. And sometimes my insistence on doing a good job has payoff... and an interloper is sent scurrying away. These exhilarating encounters often shift me into high gear, and I race down the stairs for a romp on my personal screened porch.

for me the anxious thoughts are usually BEFORE the thrill.....
ReplyDeleteprobably ditto for me, but it's the afterthought of "that could have gone badly" that I remember.
