gracious me

Shamus on view

Me-usings and Me-emories

13 Jan 2023 - An onlooker might call it pampering, but the recipient of the kindness might (secretly) think it is a deserved indulgence, a balancing of the ledger... a bit drawn from the excess pile and deposited in the needy column.  However the act is judged, it is a lovely gift that benefits the giver as well.  A cat has ways to show appreciation, subtle granted... like a purr beneath the breath or a gentle touch from the paw.  And should I pry my eyes open, I'd witness a slight smile on the shorter peep's face (and I can't help but mirror the feeling).
