9 Jun 2023 - The shorter peep almost caught my big, gaping yawn:  just because we cats creep around at dawn, doesn't mean that we're totally awake at that hour.  Putting one paw in front of the other can be handled by automatic pilot, and I have no desire to lap up a saucer of black nastiness to jolt my body into the day.  What would quickly bring me to my senses is detected motion, the possibility of an interloper... then I would slam the engine into full gear, and tear off in pursuit.
