12 Oct 2023 - The Sphinx pose is a regal one... and also very comfortable.  With the head held aloft, it gives better visibility of the surroundings than the favored sprawl.  It is possible to nap in this position, and sometimes the interlopers don't even notice that the watch guard is snoozing, an added bonus.  With this lovely weather I am spending a good part of my work day out there on my personal screened porch.  It is just amazing that I get paid to do what I do.
