Me-usings and Me-emories
2 Jun 2025 - I am sticking close to the shorter peep until I am confident that she is done roaming. Every time she exits the primary portal I worry that she will wander off... and her vision and sense of smell aren't honed for finding a path home. I grant you that in the almost five years I've lived in this domicile, I have rarely been left on my own for more than a mealtime. Yet this recent disappearing act has made me question the reliability of our routine, which I depend upon to stay calm and content. I need to refocus on the now, the comfort of an awaiting lap, but the future is worrisome.
