on the lookout

Shamus on view

Me-usings and Me-emories

12 Aug 2025 - The quiet of early morning calls attention to any interlopers stirring... which is why I visit my personal screened deck as soon as its portal is open.  It isn't unusual to spot a cheep as it hurries from one rock to another, in search of any seeds that have fallen to the ground.  And the squeep likes to be the first one at the replenished feeder.  There are several tiny, tiny beeps that frequent this area and are constantly squabbling over whose territory it is.  But obviously this spot belongs to me.

  1. Archy and Hitty are both very interested in the concept of a cheep! They ask if you can send some their way?

  2. Of all the hinterland interlopers smaller than me, cheeps are the only ones that stay on the other side of my personal screened deck... that makes them smart in my estimation.
