Me-ow-my-oh!

Me-usings and Me-emories

31 October 2013 - There have been moments in time in which my kind has been, let us say, misunderstood.  Those so unfortunate to be solid black (actually the result of a recessive gene) have borne the brunt of society's prejudice.  Those tight-lipped Pilgrims were a superstitious lot, and persecuted anything that could be construed as a familiar of the devil...so they deserved to be bitten by fleas.  But I prefer the flip-side:  in Great Britain, Japan, and aboard ships, black cats bring good luck; in Scotland, prosperity.  The truth is that we are an easy lot:  feed us, and you are our friend.
