Me-usings and Me-emories
11 October 2013 - The rumor on the street is that we domesticates can't roar, like our wild cousins, because our hyoids are ossified. Translation: the U-shaped bone in the neck that supports our tongue has totally calcified. I don't think of this situation as a handicap, just a fact. Besides, they can't purr...because their hyoids aren't completely bone. And one can certainly catch more peeps with sweet talk than threats.
