the galloping poor-me

Me-ow-my-oh!

Me-usings and Me-emories

24 February 2017 - Friday mornings are clean-up days around our house.  I find it all obsessive-compulsive, but what do I know?  The dreaded vacuum comes out of its hiding place, and I am stalked.  Maybe it only wants my shed hair, which is creepy enough, but with its whirring growl I keep my distance, lest it lunge for me.  This closet drawer, some five feet above the carpet, affords temporary protection, but sooner or later the thing will sniff me out and I must scurry to another safe place.  Eventually the mechanical beast is recaged and my heart rate can normalize... but while it is loose, I am on red alert.
