Shamus on view

Me-usings and Me-emories

8 July 2020 - When one expects recognition, or perhaps "deserves" is the better verb, to acknowledge its receipt is difficult.  Not because one is ungrateful, but because the fact doesn't register.  Rather like thanking the air for being there... we are truly indebted to its presence but accept it as our reality.  So we cats are often viewed by peeps, wrongly for this very reason, as snobs.  Most of these who sneer at our airs prefer, thankfully, the company of dim-deeps (and what reason would they have to be arrogant??).  I am not trying to make excuses (our behavior is natural after all), but rather to explain to the laity why the universe is so ordered.  Godhead is sufficient to give its avatar an enlarged cranium, so we cats attempt to balance this power by purring devotionals to our congregation.  We hope that is sufficient.

word of the day - purr-iestly, befitting a godly repurrsentation (also, outfitted with a mallet with which to convince the strayers)
