14 April 2021 - Early morning light doesn't provide much warmth, but it does promise the outcome I desire... and for that I am grateful, although the softness it gives to everything so touched makes a pleasant view.  The definition of beauty is very personal, varying from peep to peep, but even more so across species... if the concept is even given thought.  A cat's outlook is mostly practical:  does it appear threatening, does it offer food, might it result in head pats?  But certainly I can experience an emotion best translated into "this is very pleasing", and wish that feeling to continue.  Graciously felines don't judge a candidate by his stubbed tail or bald patches or six toes.
