24 Sep 2022 - Things were very weird at our domicile last evening. Long, sinewy things stretched along the floor and coiled in the corners; for a time there was an annoying, persistent beep in the office. And when things get strange, yours truly gets gone. Eventually some state of near-normalcy was established, allowing the shorter peep and I to hide under the covers... and the night passed uneventfully. This morning the view out the deck portal is wet and gray... but I've had my morning treats and my breakfast, my towel has been warmed, so all is good.
