16 Nov 2024 - Every thump must be investigated:  did the rap occur inside or outside the domicile, and by what manner of interloper?  Countable naps have been interrupted by an unwelcome knock, and I begrudingly follow my ears to the source.  In this particular case the culprit was an overly excited beep:  threat level was low but it proved to be entertaining.  The pictured portal seems to attract deranged individuals so I often camp out on its ledge, in anticipation of what is to come.
