14 Jan 2026 - Some ancient hard-wired bit of memory informs me that I shouldn't stare into the eyes of something more powerful than I (or bigger or clearly in charge or... ). But being on the good side of such a force is not a bad idea. So I respectfully place myself in the oracle's breath, averting my gaze... behaving in no way that could be interpreted as a challenge. Because I really like (and need) the warmth, especially after doing my rounds on my personal screened porch on a day that Mr. Sol does a no-show.
