15 Jan 2026 - "Jump in bed and cover up your head 'cause a cold snap is comin' tonight" seems like an apt paraphrase of a seasonal peep tune.  Obviously I think it is sound (if not tuneful) advice, and don't plan to spend any more time on my personal screened porch than is necessary.  I have lots of vacation days accrued, and I despise leaving our domicile so I might as well use them as purrsonal absences.  It is quite empowering to allow myself a lengthy break... although I still feel a twinge of guilt (not enough to keep me awake).
