8 January 2014 - The best way to face a chilly morning is from a toasty-warm bed.  I don't really view myself as a guest in this household, but occasionally the mood strikes me to snooze in the spare bedroom.  The shorter peep pulls a face when she discovers me there, but there are no dire consequences so I indulge occasionally.  Actually it is their fault:  if they set the thermostat for the master suite, where clearly I belong, at a comfortable level, I would not wander elsewhere.  But heat rises, so this upstairs room is always warmer and, like a magnet, it draws me in.
