Me-usings and Me-emories
14 May 2015 - Don't we all have a mental picture of ourselves? It is the sort of thing that we wouldn't necessarily share lest we incur derision, for it captures the divide between who we are and who we imagine ourselves to be. So please don't scoff when I say that mine is the mythical panther, Florida's own big cat. Its dwindling numbers make it all the more desirable to glimpse, to respect, to fear. I like to think that somewhere nearby my counterpart is lazing beneath a stand of palmetto, perfectly camouflaged, waiting patiently.
