8 May 2015 - With their less-than-optimal hearing and eyesight, the peeps need me to sit sentinel.  I consider this job well within my skill set, and it often proves interesting.  On routine patrol I have come upon all manner of animate things.  Should our living conditions appal you, allow me to add that these specimens were below me in the food chain, the majority were insects, and all were quickly dispatched to the outside world or their maker.  On duller days I try to be helpful by raking lint from beneath furniture and appliances...not part of my job description, but I like to keep a tidy ship.
