18 July 2016 - Yesterday I mentioned my unordered itinerary, and here I am...having selected "plop down on the porch". It appears that I have lost my head, but thankfully appearances can be deceiving (so remember that the next time a photograph is offered as evidence). It is my understanding that the guillotine was last used in France in 1977 (!), which gives me some confidence that I am not about to be decapitated. Having brought up the gruesome topic, I can't help but wonder if facing up was ever anyone's choice. Sorry, it is just another instance of my curious mind... the question would certainly be a conversation stopper.
