the home of the brave

Me-ow-my-oh!

Me-usings and Me-emories

8 October 2017 - What is a cat without his kingdom?  An unfortunate fellow looking to usurp another's throne, would be my answer.  It appears that my pleas have been heard:  my peeps are making preparations to take me back to the land of heat and humidity... as if they were bad things.  But even so I am quite fond of my spot here on the lake:  it offers me several things unavailable back in Florida, such as beeps paddling by the shore.  I was about to add "no interlopers" to the list, but just recently I have had the distasteful pleasure of meeting a dark-striped neighbor.  I think that he was mostly curious (aren't we all?), and stopped by.  I even saw him peering through the sliding glass door... he deserves a swat for his cheekiness.  At least he hasn't the temerity to use one of my personal portals.
