Me-usings and Me-emories
4 October 2017 - Something is up, here at the lake: the dock is no longer jutting from the shore. I found it hauled up, on edge and lashed to the stairway's supporting posts. My peeps must have moved it while I was napping. Now I have to scramble out on rocks to drink tannic water. And the lake temperature is moderating as well, my tongue chilled by the contact. Something is also different about the sun: a spot on the sofa that was a dependable pool of sunshine is no longer, although I discovered that, rather than totally disappearing, the warmth has moved farther along, on another piece of furniture. We cats can adapt, grudgingly, so I have relocated my sleeping place. Why do things have to change? The answer is beyond me, but the repercussions are not.
