8 December 2017 - It is something of a joke that we cats prefer heights, even favoring a newspaper over the floor on which it rests. I suppose this behavior is hard-wired, since it is not a conscious act on my part. And it makes us very predictable, and hence the ha-ha. Sometimes I think the shorter peep sets up a sting, just to watch my neurons fire. But there are good reasons for us felines, wild or not, to seek out a high vantage... and it should not need further comment... so I won't. Peep humor... I don't get it.
