Me-usings and Me-emories
4 December 2017 - Both predator and prey need to have keen detection of movement. To perceive a shift, a twitch, could throw the standoff. I am quite certain that something flinched to my left. The potted plant offers a place to hide (especially since its leaves have serrated edges), but to remain concealed one must be still... until that moment when one is spotted. Only my peeps and myself belong on this porch, so the lurker needs to be collared and ousted... and that task falls to me. Time will determine if my patience can thaw its frozen fear.
