20 May 2018 - Has the sun been extinguished (and I missed the memo)??  What a dreary few days we have had!  Thanks to my reflective retina, I can manage much better in dim light than my ill-equipped peeps.  Even so, you know how fond I am of sunshine, and its absence is keenly felt.  Mind you, the picture could be darker:  the ambient temperature could be on the chilly side; there could be accompanying lightning; my coat could be green with mildew.  When things are bleak, one should enumerate all the positives... and I am positive that I will welcome the return of Mr. Sol.
