Me-usings and Me-emories
29 May 2018 - Not all of us had yesterday off, but there are perks to being needed. It is a good feeling, and most of you know first-hand, to turn that last corner in route to home and that favorite chair. Although fewer and fewer of us actually are physical in our work labors, you might still understand tired feet and the joy of getting off of them. This final flight of stairs sometimes seems insurmountable, but then I dig deep and pull myself up. It is that mental image of undisturbed rest, of familial affirmation, that helps many of us keep going. My notion of heaven involves a nap and a porch.
