23 September 2018 - Some of you may remember Easy-Bake ovens (perhaps even "cooked" with one).  The toy appliance used an incandescent bulb (take that, fluorescent) to bake simple dishes.  I have rediscovered the principle:  by pausing long enough beneath this lamp shade I realized that I was getting warmer!  Mon Bastet, how wonderful to have a backup plan when sunshine is in short supply.  It was necessary to suppress a caterwaul of joy (not wishing to hear a crash in the kitchen).  I also enjoy having the spotlight upon me just to remind my peeps who is who and what is what.
